kicked out of college - February 28th 2011, 05:33 AM

soo im not sure if this is in the right section.. but anyway im really close to be getting kicked out of college, im scared because of all the scare storys about not being able to find a decent payed job, about how ill never get employed when up against other people with higher qualifications..

If i get kicked out of college will my life be doomed to failure? will i never become succesful..?

p.s college in england so not sure if thats high school or whatever in america?

thanks

May I ask why you're nearly going to be kicked out of college? And if you do why you can't apply to another?

It's last two years of high school everywhere else
How come you're being kicked out?
Not finishing school / college doesn't make you a failure, plenty of people great jobs after quitting school young. You'd probably have to start at the bottom of a job and work your way up, which isn't the nicest way sometimes, but if it's a job you love it won't matter

hey im getting kicked out because of lack of work, because i find it impossible to focus because of depression, i already changed a level 3 course last year, according to the teachers this will be the last level 3 course i can ever do, because theyve already wasted money on me last time for me to drop out, which is fair enough

It might be harder for you, but it's not impossible. There are options around
Maybe you should focus on sorting the depression out so it doesn't affect you work as well ... There's so much help available in the UK, especially for young people, definately look into it.

Do your teachers know you suffer depression? I'm sure they'd cut you some slack if they knew.
