Scholarships? - January 9th 2009, 07:10 PM

I'm a junior in High School, and I always over-prepare myself for everything, especially with the whole college thing. I can't stop thinking about it.

Anyway, I was just curious about the scholarship thing. Do you apply for scholarships before or after you apply to a school? I've been super confused and can't find anything when I research. Help, please?

You can start applying for scholarships now if you want to. I wish I had applied sooner than my senior year. You can apply before you apply to schools and save them in a banking account until you get to uni. I would suggest starting now. Try this website as it has TONS of scholarships.

There are tons of scholarships out there for you. Look now so you will be prepared during senior year! Also, ask your guidance counselor if he/she knows about certain scholarships that you should apply for. Keep in mind that there are scholarships for many interests, so find a few that fit you the best, etc.

Although I'm not applying for college until september...
I'm on a scholarship to my current school.
I applied before I took the exam and then took an extra paper after my exam to see if I got it.
At most schools I think you can reapply if you don't get it.
But I agree with what most people have already said, apply sooner rather than later.
Sorry if this wasn't very useful. x
