Concentration problem - August 19th 2011, 04:25 PM

Okay, so I have exams starting on Monday and I wanna do really well cuz I am tired of being advised non-stop by everyone around me. And also, I wanna be proud of myself.

But the big problem is that I get bored too fast. When I first sit down to study, I do well. I study really well and all that. But after some time, I must take a break. That's reasonable. But always the break gets out of hand and I lose it all and ends up not studying.

So any tips to improve my concentration and kick boredom?

I have the same problem!! It sucks.
If I know I have a big test to study for, I go to the library or some other place where I won't have any distractions. If that's not an option for you, let someone that lives with you know that you have studying to do. They can help keep you accountable for your work. Hope this helps!!

Easiest way for me was to give myself a goal at the end (easier said than done haha) I dunno like a chocolate bar or fresh air

I revise in 15 minute slots then test myself. my concentration is horrible but it helps in a way

Best of luck work with your exams, oh and one other thing, disable Facebook etc so you have less of an incentive to use it. when I saw I had to enter my email and password again I lost interest lol and I also took it off the front page of my phone so it'd take me longer to get to it, even if it was a few seconds it deterred me enough haha
