Question School change? - March 19th 2012, 10:04 PM

So I've been thinking a while to change school since I don't really like mine, and I want to change before it gets too late. But I don't know how to tell my mum? This probably sounds weird, but I've always had hard to talk about things with her.

It is better to approach her sooner than later. If you have trouble talking to her directly, I recommend writing a letter explaining to her why you want to change schools. Sometimes it is easier to express ourselves in writing. Plan ahead of time what you want to say and alternative solutions you have.

Finding it hard to talk to your mom doesn't sound weird at all. But, you do need to tell her about this sooner rather than later. Try to plan out what you're going to say ahead of time. That will make it easier to bring up the topic with her. Also, try to think of some potential questions or concerns that she might have. Come up with a few possible answers, just in case. It'll show her that you're well prepared and that you have really thought this through.

wanderlust consumed her;
foreign hearts & exotic minds compelled her.
she had a gypsy soul
and a vibrant heart for the unknown.
