VANCOUVER 2010 - February 12th 2010, 08:05 PM

I'm so excited that the olympics are being held in my country I've been watching the last part of the torch relay all day (I'm home sick with a cough :P)

An American olympian was actually practicing today (luge) and fell off the track and died.....so terrible seeing as the opening cerimonies are tonight.

My dad got me a pair of vancouver 2010 gloves, and I'm gunna ask him if we can take a trip to zellers tonight to get a toque :P

WHO do you guys think is going to light the final flame tonight? Nobody will tell anyone :P I think it will be Terry Fox's mom.

I love the winter olympics. Did you see the pairs short programme figure skating. The German Pair (clown outfits) were so beautiful.

Re: VANCOUVER 2010 - February 15th 2010, 11:23 PM

The moguls were great to watch, as is any speed skating.
The snowboard cross final earlier was a close one, Canada was just edged out for it's 2nd Gold by a single board length! Great to watch.
I love the ads on CTV during these games, tourism ads and the Molson Canadian ad (beer). The slight bias is good too, although they shouldn't be so disappointed when a Canadian doesn't finish as expected. It takes away from their success, but otherwise, great coverage.

I used to like watching skeleton and luge when I was younger, but now I just watch whatever is on. Except skating, I'm really not a fan. I'm REALLY excited to see some curling (I used to play) and Kevin Martin is so awesome. I played baseball with his daughter when I was younger.

I have watched a few sports, mostly skiing and figure skating (ice dancing). I've never really liked the Olympics, but it seems really entertaining this year!

I love the Olympics. Lmao, your Georgia comments all made me laugh. People are represented by their country, not state.

I watched for the first time last night, actually... I saw snowboarding and then men's figure skating. I LOVED the guy who won gold for the skating = Evan Lysacek. What a hottie! haha...and a great figure skater, of course!

I'm watching Ice Dancing right now. I'm so mean, I keep willing people from other countries to fall.

I'm so glad Lysacek won instead of Plushenko.

Oh and what about hockey?!?

On ctv.ca they have a section for, "where did my favourite shows go" and I think they link you to places where you can watch them.

I live in Vancouver!!! well a city close to vancouver (like 45mins) but same thing. It's so amazing having the olympics here. I love pretty much all the sports, especially short track speedskating. i used to compete in that too but then quit because I couldn't keep up two sports really competitively.
