Softball anyone?

I can't be the only softball player on here!!! I play 16U competitive softball for Colorado Shock. I made All-American last summer. Being recruited by Kansas-Weslyan University and hopefully University of Louisiana at Monroe. Played varsity softball for Heritage High School this year and i also played for Columbine High School. My primary and favorite postion is Catcher and my secondary is 3rd base but I can pretty much play anywhere except pitcher.

So.who do you play for? what positions? favorite college teams? Lets see how many softball players are on TH

I play! I play 2nd base, mostly. But I also pitch and play 1st base. And I play for my college and my church team. And I am a huge USA softball fan :]

I played softball a lot in my younger years.
I was left field, and i took pitching lessons.

My girlfriend lives near Monroe. That's so cool.

HCC, Harford Community College. I don't play for anyone big or anything That, will be my sister when she hits college.

I've played baseball/softball for 12 years or so. We don't really have teams like that in Canada, nor do we get recruited for university. I may try out for my university's team next year. My primary positions were pitcher and first basemen.

I played softball for years. I played all through out the outfield and 3rd base. I broke my shoulder and it just hasnt been the same since so I havnt played since then kinda sad

I just, at the last minute, decided to play softball instead of tennis this spring. I think seeing this thread must have subconsciously affected me. I'm not the biggest softball fan, but I love baseball to death and this is the closest I can get. I'm guessing I'll play outfield or maybe pitch.

Alexa, have you ever played softball before? If you haven't, then you have NO idea how much work goes into pitching. Our pitchers practice for like an hour everyday and it took them years to get where they are now. Thought I'd throw that in there, since you said this was a last minute decision.

I've played ball since I could walk. I play Varsity softball at my high school. I also play rec ball in my area (I live in the boonies and it is too far for most of us to drive to play travel). I've played on various All Star teams. I also help with the 10U and 13U in my area.

When i was still in high school my school did it as a summer sport option and as none of us had played it before [we're in the UK -- don't really have it here.] It was really fun to learn how it works and all that. i'd generally either be on first base or one of the way out people [no technical terms here.. lol] fun times.

Yes, I have played before and fully understand how much work goes into pitching, but thanks. :]
