Fencing?

For the longest time I have wanted to do fencing. ^_^
It seems so fun and different.
When I was little me and my cousins would have fake sword fights.
Then doing it for real?
How cool would that be?

Just wondering if anyone on here does fencing?
How did you get into it?
Do you enjoy it?
Anything else =)

(No area's around me offer it =/ So I was just curious to ask other people about it. )

Hey Bridget,
I took fencing lessons a couple of years ago, and it was really fun. It was always something that I thought looked neat, so I tried it out. I enjoyed it alot, and I wanted to take more lessons, but the place was too far away, so I haven't fenced since.The only bad thing about it was that some of the other beginners weren't good at aiming their foil (sword), and I got jabbed a couple of times in the neck or legs where there wasn't much padding. It was a little painful. If you ever get the opportunity to fence, try it out! :]

I fence (I'm a foilist)!! I got into it since my uncle is a coach (but not my coach...) I train about twice a week, and just got my own equipment ^^. It's so much fun, and I love it but it does take a lot of practice. If you get a chance to try it, go for it!
