Yoga - June 21st 2011, 08:25 PM

Does anyone here do yoga? I kind of want to try it but we can't really afford classes right now. Are there any really good DVDs or maybe even Youtube videos out there that are good to use?

If you're beginning, this dvd looks promising - http://www.amazon.com/Kripalu-Gentle...ews/B000AO88NW

I do yoga sometimes, but only the low-key stuff, due to me not being flexible at all I really like doing it. I haven't really looked into youtube videos or anything, but if you have a Wii, Wii Fit has lots of good yoga poses. You can take them at your own pace, and your "instructor" gives you tips.

Wii fit actually works really well.

My school had yoga for a gym credit so I know a lot of it and will just go through a routine type thing I've made up. It's so much fun because you're way flexible in like two weeks after starting! I felt awesome(:

I hope you like it.

Wowza, I can't wait to be more flexible. (As far as flexibility goes, I suck xD)
Yeah, my school offers a gym course that's all about yoga and pilates and stuff. I wanted to take it in the upcoming school year, but it isn't offered until junior year. It made me feel sad.

I'm not sure what TV channels you have, but I have yoga TV. Might want to check that out. I really wouldn't recommend Wii Fit Yoga, but if you want to try it, go ahead. You can also check out a book from a local library that will show you different moves.

Oh wow, I've never heard about yoga TV. That's pretty cool. I'll have to see if direct TV has that.
