If theres one thing I've learned that my teacher pointed out... Your work will never be 'complete' whether its writing a story, poem, or drawing or painting or anything. There will always be revisions or new drafts or more to add to it! I'm not sure whether thats a good thing or not... It's annoying but maybe it's been behind masterpeices, the urge to make it better.

I'm not sure you really can overcome the feeling that you're not quite done, I know what it's like. Without seeing to peice I'm not sure I could make any suggestions on what could be added or fixed or whatever. Maybe just play around with different stuff in a rough scetch drawing and add in different stuff that would make it seem more complete.

What kind of art project is it?

Take me seriously.
I dare you.

ty for the advice. and its not really a project its just something for fun. but what it is is a peace sign and i made it using the word peace. and in the middle where the three lines meet up in the center i put a heart and i used the word love to make that. but the three parts are empty. i just have the feeling they need to be filled with something but i cant thing what lol.

well..when this happens to me i either wait for the idea to come back to me or i do alot of things to help spark my interest again like reading books in the genre if you're writing something etc...

Hmm... What if you just get some color in there? You don't want too much in there or it would distract from the actual peace sign...
I would just swirl around some colors, or even go a bit tye-dye XP (which might be a tad distracting... so...idk. lol maybe just tye dye with shades of a color or 2 instead of a rainbow one. i dont know if your project is even colored or not. :P)

I have had that exact situation with poems i have written. Sometimes if i leave it alone for a week then come back to it it all of a sudden dawns on me what is missing.
It might also help if you have someone else look at it they may be able to help with it.

Good Luck!
