Young singers make me so sad.
Just because I have the same dream they do, the only problem is... I DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET STARTED. I just... Ugh. I want to do what I love on a more professional level, not just on YouTube. |

Maybe you could look around your area for places that host open mics? Then you can go perform
You could also join and choir, thats what I have done and it is quite fun and I really learn a lot. You can even try out for solos If you really want to go professional and are sure of yourself, go visit a talent agency and see if you can get signed on. You'll need to know and instrument or form a band and then go perform for a label and then with luck you can get an album produced! My friend has also put his songs on iTunes, it costs money but you get paid for every song bought. ![]() Buddy|Live Help Operator|HelpLink Mentor|Social Networking Team Relationships&Dating Mod|Lifestyle Mod|Media&Entertainment Mod Performance Committee |

You could look in local magazines and in phone books to see if anyone offers lessons. Or at your school, some of the older music students or other good singers might be prepared to teach you for a much lower fee. Good Luck Xxx

FINALLY SOMEONE WITH MY SAME PROBLEM.
I have searched for places to sing live but they were real jobs and here people can't work until they are 16... I have turned 15 last month. I don't now where to search for something else. And my other problem are my parents. Yes, if I found a talent agency they wouldn't allow me to see them and get signed. They think I'm still to young. When I'm down, I can't help but cry scarlet tears. Some people believe in God, I believe in Music. Some people pray, I turn up the radio. I never thought a girl could change my life this much, but you did and now I can't let you go. You'll always be the best part of me. I will miss you, T. ![]() |

Practice practice and more practice lol. Serouisly. I'm 21 and in the singing business well the entertaining business, I do two 45mins slots nearly every weekend, and it's hard work.
When I was 13 i joined choir, then started learning how to play piano, I then left school at 16 and went on to study music at college, where we were taught where to go and such for different jobs, we were also given singing lessons, and breathing techniques and then put in for graded singing exams. If you go to a talent scout you need to be prepared, your probably going to be asked to sing songs you wouldn't normally sing. So learn new ones, trust me when the times comes your going to need a lot, learn from I'd say 60's right up to now, obv not every single track, but a few from each eara, so you have what we call a "set" if you have your own gear eg mics, speakers mixers ask if you can practice in a local community centre or local pub, they usaually great with things like that, and 9 times outta 10 your asked to go back and actually get paid for it. Theres a lot of people out there that are wanting to make it as singers, so finding work is VERY hard, but keep at it, if you know of a local recording studio find out if you can do some work experince there, they can then speak to you about being a background singer for famous singers. Depending on where your from you could try out for the likes of x-factor, because you never know you may be discovered, and if not, they can help point you in the right direction. If you need anymore advice on this subject feel free to pm me. Oh and btw my parents hated the idea of me being a singer, but once i'd proven it's what i wanted to do and stuck at it, they soon changed their minds
