Question senior year and big plans of travel after, advice? - July 1st 2012, 06:11 PM

Hey guys as some one you might know my boyfriend lives in Europe, I have hopes of saving up some money to go see him after I graduate but I'm also interested in London and Rome as well as Zagreb Croatia, which is wear he is now. Even if we don't work I think it'd still be a great experience to get around and travel a bit before I make an commitments to a university or particular career. The thing is, idk how I could come up with enough money to put away for my first months rent when i get back and find enough money to travel to zagreb, never mind all those other wonderful places. I've heard of backpacking but I don't know what it is. If anyone's done it would you mind sharing your experience and exactly what it is? And also I heard of when you go to other places you can get jobs where you go. How would that work if i was only there to visit and not to move there? How likely or easy is it to get a job in another country when you only speak english?

The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows.
It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.
You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward.
How much you can take, and keep moving forward.
PM me if you need to talk about ANYTHING.

Hey (:
I think that it would be a good idea to travel a bit, but obviously there is language restrictions.
But you could obviously come to the UK:3
And yeah, money is also an issue, but I hope things work out well for you :3

Ever since I met you.. it hasn't been the same. All you got me doing is drawing hearts around your name <3
Me without you is like a sneaker without laces, a geek without braces andasentancewithoutspaces.

I did some research and here is what I found.

Click Here for some information about backpacking. It looks like it might be a good option for you to travel since it is made to be on a budget, however I think you'll still have to figure out where you are going to stay while you travel.
Now for making money, you have a few options:
  • Summer jobs. Click Here to see the Jobs Abroad Bulletin
  • Internships. Click Here to see internships abroad
  • You can teach English abroad
  • Volunteering. Click Here for information on volunteering abroad

And here you are living, despite it all.
