Asia. -

So I'm in the process of finalizing my trip round Asia for two months. Mainly I'll be going to India, Thailand, and Cambodia. Got my vaccines booked, getting insurance, applied for my visa and have booked hostels and trains and what not for when I'm out there.
I'd really love if any of you guys who have gone out there could tell me some things I might need. I've already got a padlock and chain to lock up my belongings in the hostel, a light weight sleeping bag which protects against bed bugs and mosquitoes and one of those towels which packs into a teeny tiny space. I'm getting water purification tablets and some sort of mini laundry detergent. And the usual holiday gear like sun screen etc of course. Anything else I may have missed? "Life is pain, anybody that says different is selling something" ~ Fezzik's Mother, The Princess Bride. ♥ "To die, would be an awfully big adventure."~ Peter Pan "Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumoured by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it." ~ The Buddha 14-04-2010. Lou, sounds fantastic, i'm also planning a trip to thailand.
I'd suggest a small moneybelt- one that hids under a t-shirt like a flat one. Also, a second form of photo ID. Several websites have told me to bring one. Photo copies of important information- Plus email everything to yourself- such as flight numbers- so if you do lose things you have a copy that you cant lose. Also, leave a copy of all important documents with a parent- my friend lost his passport whilst we were in sudan, it would have been hell if his mum didnt just scan over a copy for the police. Good luck, enjoy and keep a journal x Just one smile makes you think i'm happy... why won't just one tear make you realise i'm not? x
