NARUTO IS ENDING IN FIVE WEEKS! - October 7th 2014, 04:55 AM

Yeah, just in case no one heard.

I'm devastated that there won't be any more episodes made, but I'm really, really glad that I can finally catch up on what I missed, without every new episode putting me that much farther away from watching every episode ever made.

If that paragraph made any sense, I'm pleased. It's nearly one-o'clock, and I've been in a nostalgic mood all evening, thanks to this news.

That's not good at all. Aren't they currently in the middle of the war? What's going to happen there? Am I going to need to read through the entire, lengthy manga just to find out the conclusion of the story?

Most important of all,
Spoiler:
what's going to happen to Orochimaru? He's really the only character I care about anymore who is still living and making appearances in the show.

Spoiler:
Right now Orochimaru is caught in the Infinite Tsukuyomi, so I'm guessing that if Naruto fails... Well, there's the problem of Sasuke's "revolution," which may disrupt even the Eye of the Moon plan. Probably Orochimaru will be held inside the dream-world forever, if Naruto fails.

In the manga, they're currently nearing the end of the war. I'm not sure if the anime will be ending as quickly as the manga... I follow both, but the manga more faithfully, so I don't know exactly where the anime is now. Probably I should've put this in the books section.

Spoiler:
Sasuke has evidently gone bad again, has the Rinnegan in one eye, and is trying to stage a revolution against the current shinobi system, beginning with assassinating the Kages yet trapped in the Infinite Tsukuyomi and the destruction of the Tailed Beasts. Naruto is trying to defeat him, and that's where it's at now.

My guess is that Naruto will finally be forced to kill Sasuke in two or three chapters; that Naruto will end the Shinobi War singlehandedly by that action; that in the fourth and fifth chapters, everyone will be released from the Tsukuyomi and the epilogue will be depicted. It'll probably be rapid-fire action that ends on a quiet note, with Naruto rebuilding the shinobi world in some way that's less combative, and that he feels would have made Sasuke proud.

That's just a bunch of conjecture, though.
