American Idol

Is starting soon? Does anyone watch this show on a weekly basis?
I know i started watching at season 4.
Who was your guys favorite?
Mine would probably be Jordin Sparks, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Kris Allen and Adam Lambert. There's probably so many more.

It's going to be weird with Ellen as the new judge.

Also this statement was just released:

"Simon will leave Idol at the end of 2010 to concentrate on bringing the American version of X Factor to U.S. TV in 2011."

Thoughts? We kinda need Simon haha.

I think they'll just axe American Idol altogether in favour of The X factor, well that's what I heard. I do watch American Idol, i'm a fan of all of these singing-type shows lol, i don't really have a fave contestant or winner though; i think they're all pretty good in their own right.

I don't really watch American Idol anymore. I watched all of season two, but after that I never saw all the episodes. I mostly just watch the auditions the first few weeks and thats it.

Hmm. I think Kelly Clarkson is my favorite idol out of all of them. Also, without Simon and Paula as judges in the next couple of years, the show will probably lose ratings. Simon is a pretty important person on the show. Just my thoughts. :]

Without simon the show will be crap. Ellen, will make it hillarious! I <3 Ellen.

First season was, "WOW! This is great!"
Second season, "It keeps getting better!"
Third season, "Oooh, maybe I'll watch this for a little bit..."
Fourth season, "I guess there's nothing else on..."
Fifth season, "ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

That is my opinion on American Idol.(;

I don't think the show will be able to survive without Simon (it's bad enough that Paula already left), so I suppose this will be the last season of American Idol if that is true. xD

It just isn't the same without the original judges.

I do think it is entertaining, but I've started to lose interest in the show after this past season for whatever reason. x_x

I thought the Simon Cowell leaving thing was a rumor. I read in people that it was, in an interview with him and Ellen. :0
I hope he doesn't!!!

I'm excited to see Ellen, as my mom watches her show and I think she's hilarious~ (:

I kind of got bored and lost interest several seasons ago. I watch the auditions, but that's it. Not really my type of music, to be honest. Daughtry and David Cook weren't too bad.

I love American Idol! Kelly and Carrie are probably my favorites in terms of I actually bought and listen to their albums. I really liked David Cook too, though. It won't be the same without Simon, but I'm eager to see how Ellen works out.

I couldn't agree more. I used to love it, now it makes me want to scream! Unfortunately I'm stuck watching it because everyone else in my house loves it. I will admit though, I really like Adam Lambert. I think he sounds a lot like Freddie Mercury (from Queen, obviously!) which makes him extremely awesome. I happily own his CD! If there were more singers like Adam on AI, I might enjoy it more. But to me... they all sound the same every year.

I stopped watching it after Carrie Underwood won the title, the auditions are always hilarious but I, myself rarely watch tv these days

I've watched every season so far. However, I do not plan to watch this season.

Kelly Clarkson was absolutely my favorite. I've seen her three times in concert, and each time was incredible. She's amazing.

I'm not a TV person, and I am SO not an AI person, however, I do laugh at pants on the ground.

That being said, I will never waste my time watching something like American Idol, unless my friends really wanted me to or anything.

Hahahahaha. I only saw that today. That guy is awesome.

But anyway I watch American Idol sometimes if I can be bothered. They show it on Fox 8 over here. I mainly watched it last season for Adam Lambert. He's my all time favourite Idol of any country. I might be tempted to watch all of this season if I see someone I really like. I'll guess have to wait and see.
