I loved Inception. What I thought was cool was that the plot was complex, but easy enough for you to understand if you were following along the whole movie. I'm going to be seeing it a second time in the next few days. :]

Re: Have you seen "Inception" - August 3rd 2010, 06:00 PM

I've seen it twice. I was fascinated the first time I watched it taking the concept and the visuals in. The second time I had a grater appreciation for the storyline.

My favourite movie of the year to date.

I loved it. Going in, I thought I would have a hard time understanding it, but like someone said, if you pay attention then it's actually really easy to get.

I want to see it a second time. Especially after reading this Cobb's-totem-was-his-wedding-ring theory. It's really interesting and makes a lot of sense.

I haven't read that theory. I'll have to go see it AGAIN now, dammit.

I enjoyed it, it's great to discuss with people. Not entirely sure what my opinion is of the ending, but I'd like to believe the totem stopped spinning and he did get home, but somehow that seems too easy.

Didnt like it at all. First film, I can actually say I was bored to watch. It was like a kid had written it.

I saw it and liked it. I thought the ending was fantastic. I was confused at first but part way through I got unconfused and was like 'Okay I see what is going on now.' Definitely one of my favorite movies.

I saw it. I thought it was okay.

I don't really get all these people saying IT WAS AMAZING though.

I thought it was eh, so-so.

To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never, to forget

Re: Have you seen "Inception" - August 18th 2010, 09:31 AM

Loved it. =) I'm a psych major, so this sort of movie was right up my alley. =D It's definitely a movie you CAN NOT zone out on, though! Otherwise, you will be completely and utterly lost for the duration of the film. D= That's why one of my friends absolutely despises "Inception".

The ending was so cliche, but it worked. I don't think he was back in the "real world", to be honest... but it's nice to believe that he managed to get back to his kids in the end. =P

It was great. It got my mind going--"this movie grabs your brain's balls" pretty much summed it up for me.

I think it doesn't matter if he got home or not. It was what he wanted. In the end, he got it. Real or not, he got to be happy.

Re: Have you seen "Inception" - August 28th 2010, 02:37 PM

I saw Inception. I thought it brought up interesting ideas in lucid dreaming that I had heard of before. It was very action packed and mentally stimulating.

As to the real world / dream world dichotomy. I think the biggest question it brought up is: what is real? One thing that I was thinking about what the main character's totem. "It always keeps spinning in the dream world." Why? We know in the real world that it will stop spinning. Therefore, as dreamers, we should be able to make it stop spinning in the dream world. They explicitly stated that they could mess with the physics.

Re: Have you seen "Inception" - August 28th 2010, 03:05 PM

Loved it, but I seen it in regular theatres. If I saw it in IMAX it probably would have been freakin sweet

You can lose yourself. Everything. All boundaries. All time.

And just when the sweet confusion is so intense you think you're gonna die... you kind of do.

Leaving you alone in your separate body, but the one you love is still there.

That's a miracle.

You can go to heaven and come back alive. You can go back anytime you want with the one you love.

I saw it and didn't think much of it tbh. Probably because I was being slow and didnt really understand it. But after thinking about it I agree it was a fantastic movie! And the ending is just like perfect.

Unless I'm seriously missing something, I think I understood the movie. That might just be because I live for confusing, mind-screw movies and I'm used to it.

Except, having seen 'Paprika' first, it did lose a little of the luster it would have had otherwise. I still enjoyed it, though.
