The Secret Circle

Anyone seen this? What do you think?

I think it's made very poorly. Acting is minimal and the dialogue kind of sucks.

Overall it's very boring, but there's only been one episode - maybe two now. So I'll give it a few more episodes before I decide to watch the whole series or not.

I haven't seen it yet, but I was planning on it. The previews caught my attention & it has a few actors I recognize in it. But overall, I don't expect it to be amazing. It looks a bit cheesy.

Second episode was identical to the first. Same layout, same scenes more or less, same dialogue. I don't think it will make it to a second season unless the dialogue and script pick up.

I still haven't watched it, but I really liked the books. The Vampire diaries kind of sucked at first, but then it got pretty good...Hopefully thats what will happen here.

I agree with Vampire Diaries. It sucked then it got better and a little bit more original.

Never liked the VD books, though I liked Secret Circle books.

I like TVD but man, The Secret Circle sucks. I wanted to like it because I was a huge Life UneXpected fan but blah. The characters are really lame and unlikable. The storylines are just as bad.

Secret Circle started about two weeks ago. I believe this coming week will be the 3rd showing.

And I agree with the Stefan actor <.< He looks old...much too old, and weird, and just doesn't portray Stefan the way I feel he should be. xD

The Vampire Diaries was an amazing set of books. But the TV series ruined it completely for me. They changed so much and I found myself stuck in the middle of an episode with all this stuff happening that wasn't even thought about in the book.
The Secret Circle was also a pretty good set of books, I enjoyed reading them casually when I needed something to do for ten minutes. But my friend Gabbi watched the first episode and from what she told me, it sounds ridiculous and strays way too much from the book. Cassie's mum is supposed to be alive. The two boys are supposed to be chasing Adam at the beginning which is how he and Cassie meet, yet I was told the boys weren't even in the show.

I'm not planning on watching it. TV and books should stay separate because they almost always end up messing it up completely.

You are right, Louise. The show is absolutely different from the book. It's like they took the character names and base storyline, and that's it. I think the characters are even different. But, meh. I'm still watching it for some reason -.-

But the Tv series is so much better in case of Vampire diaries. The books were soooo slow and suddenly in the last 20-30 pages L.J.Smith used to wake up. And in the series there's something going on all the time. And I am watching season 2 right now and its soo much more absorbing than the first 1!
