The single most tragic, disturbing, TRUE film... -
January 26th 2012, 03:55 AM
There's a movie entitled Stoic, I haven't met anyone else who has seen it..
It's a true story, and it is a very disgusting, repulsing one. I highly suggest anyone who is interested in learning about the problems in this world, to watch it. But I warn you, I have never felt so incredibly violated, (for lack of a better term), and uncomfortable... And I see/ read/ study violent crime on a daily basis. It was at the local video store for about a week, and removed from their selection as a result of some law-related issue.. So it's pretty ridiculous. I'm curious to know what are the most awful (in a disturbing way), movies you guys have seen? Or what are some of the most tragic? And I don't mean in a 'Marley and Me' kind of way... Lol. This is Brian Connolly ---> <--- This is me"Obsession" would be an insulting understatement. |

The Poughkeepsie Tapes messed with my head. While I was watching it, I was kinda like 'Okay, I don't get what the big deal is' but after it was over I couldn't get the images out of my head. Shudder. Of course, that means I loved it.
I've never seen Stoic, but I feel like I should now!
"Once a little boy sent me a charming card with a little drawing on it. I loved it. I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote, “Dear Jim: I loved your card.” Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.” That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything. He saw it, he loved it, he ate it." |
