Extremely loud and Incredibly close - February 23rd 2012, 11:06 PM

[This could be upsetting/triggering (involes 9/11)

Has anyone seen this? What do you think? I saw it last night and it was brilliant. The relationship between the boy and his father his heart touching. Then his dad dies in 9/11 and the boy starts an adventure and has to find something like 400 people and does it in the space of three years. Faces fears of bridges and public transport. Meeting a man who doesn't speak and just the way it is set out is beauitful and actually really inspiring. I advise you to see it. You MUST. Although it's a happy film it is emotional and has self harm in it. I've never seen anything which is so happy but sad at the time time.

I've really been wanting to see this and I've also thought about reading the book! I really enjoyed "The Reader" which was directed by the same person - I'd highly recommend it if you enjoyed "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close"

Rescue is possible. Love is the movement ♥
