Utoya Island Movie....seriously?? - March 6th 2012, 10:01 PM

Ok there's bad taste......and then there's this. I only just saw this (video is on YouTube if anyone really cares to watch it) but these articles are from back in October. I'm not really sure if it's a bad joke....??

I am so unsure on how to feel about this. On one hand, in the future after more information and opinions have been made and the emotional rush of everything that has happened slows down it may make a *good* movie.

On the other hand, I just watched the trailer and it looks awful and distasteful. They need to give this more thought.

Eat upon their flesh for fuel, and, through your determination and will, banish them to obscurity and a life of complacency and self righteousness that is the hell in which they live"

I could see the value of a tasteful documentary being made, maybe something setting Breivik into a context of right-wing extremism in Europe, but having watched the trailer on YouTube it looks like a minimally-researched B-movie. It sounds like the director is using the film as part of an anti-gun campaign in the United States, but this really isn't the way to go about it.

I think this might just be a high-tech troll xD

It's obviously shot on DV, so it can't be a Hollywood production (they'd at least use red camera format).
