I feel this song suits how I feel a lot of times. When it comes to seeing the world through different eyes (I generally view multiple sides of situations), feeling like I give so much but gain very little back. The pacing mindlessly I can relate to, because I tend to think of multiple possibilities of future interactions and possible outcomes of relationships with various people.
Lately i've been cutting out on a lot of that because it made me become unstable emotionally, and began ruining my friendships
This is another song that I feel strongly about. About how so many people are causing problems (selfishly), hurting others and not many people are loving (caring about others). Singing about the urgency of worrying about the future, but people aren't really changing to fix that issue.
These lyrics are fairly unique in the sense that he is singing about the needs and flaws of human beings and their relationships with each other. Something i've put a lot of thought into and here he is singing about it, so it kicked off with me pretty instantly.
Post some of yours, and maybe the reasonings behind why you like them
I have sooo many more but these ones are just my favorite right now. The entire album is titled "Enola" and the whole thing really speaks to me. I feel like it's the first time in a long time that I've heard modern music that has some truly significant feeling behind it.

Of all time, the most moving to me would be:
"I was in another lifetime, one of toil and blood. When blackness was a virtue and the road was full of mud. I came in from the wilderness, a creature void of form. Come in, she said, I'll give you shelter from the storm." - Shelter from the Storm by Bob Dylan
Although a bit sad, mine would also have to be...
"With all the luck you've had, why are your songs so sad? Sing from a book you were reading in bed and took to heart, instead." - Reading in Bed by Emily Haines and the Soft Skeletons

Hm..... I probably have a couple
"Do or die, you'll never make me
Because the world will never take my heart
Though you try, you'll never break me
We want it all, we wanna play this part
Won't explain or say I'm sorry
I'm unashamed, I'm gonna show my scar
Give a cheer for all the broken
Listen here, because it's only
I'm just a man, I'm not a hero
Just a boy who wanna sing his song
Just a man, I'm not a hero
I don't care!
We'll carry on, we'll carry on
And though you're dead and gone, believe me
Your memory will carry on, you'll carry on
And though you're broken and defeated
You're weary widow marches on
Do or die, you'll never make me
Because the world will never take my heart
Though you try, you'll never break me
We want it all, we wanna play this part
We'll carry on" (Welcome To The Black Parade, by My Chemical Romance)
Or...
"Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face
And I
Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you" (Fix You, by Coldplay)
or.... hm...
"There's a part of me I can't get back
A little girl grew up too fast
All it took was once, I'll never be the same
Now I'm taking back my life today
Nothing left that you can say
Cause you were never gonna take the blame anyway
Now I'm a warrior
I've got thicker skin
I'm a warrior
I'm stronger than I've ever been
And my armor, is made of steel, you can't get in
I'm a warrior
And you can never hurt me again" (Warrior, by Demi Lovato)
or (last one)
"Five days after black and red collide
The motion sickness past, I'll be the first to stand
Behind that weathered door, I thought it would be safest
My head is dizzy now, I thought we'd overcome
We might not make it home tonight
Crawling on the ash, she's pitiful
She lost her sense of light, she has to hold my hand
Had I known we might be two kids without their jackets
My fear would come alive, I wouldn't loathe her now
She might not make home tonight
Get up, Get up, Get up, Get up" (Get Up, by Barcelona)
I always listen to lyrics, just because music saved my life, and I owe it to music now to remain 100% there

"You are what you love, not who loves you ... How'd it get to be only me, like I'm the last damn kid still kickin' that still believes. I will defend the faith, goin' down swingin'. I will save the songs that we can't stop singin'." Fall Out Boy, "Save Rock and Roll"
It inspired me to focus more on what made me happy, to make myself happy and not rely on someone else to do that; also, it inspired me to care more about the music I listen to and the music I strive to make, to 'defend the faith', to 'save the songs we can't stop singing'. Moreover, I agree with Tay. Music saved my life and has kept me sane. Even when I'm 80 years old, I'll still be as much a fan as I am now. Even if I am 'the last damn kid still kickin' that still believes.'

I've quite a few, so I'll post a couple.
A part of you that'll never show
You're the only one that'll ever know
Take it back when it all began
Take your time, would you understand
What it's all about?
What it's all about?
- "Little House" by The Fray
I would rather feel pain than nothing at all - "Pain" by Three Days Grace
A little piece of me grows old
I keep on walking down this road
I've seen a million people change
But I will stay the same - "Can't Catch Tomorrow (Good Shoes Won't Save You This Time) by Lostprophets

"A world so hateful some would rather die than be who they are"- Same Love, Macklemore
"They say the captain
Goes down with the ship
So, when the world ends
Will God go down with it?" -What a Catch, Donnie, Fall Out Boy
Both these songs have pretty much saved my life. Theres probably more songs that i can't think of.
From day one I talked about getting out
But not forgetting about
How all my worst fears are letting out
He said, "Why put a new address on the same old loneliness?"
When breathing just passes the time
Until we all just get old and die

There is so many.
"Let him know that you know best, cause after all, you do know best. Try to step past his defense, without granting innocence."- How to save a life:The Fray
"Picture, you're the queen of everything. As far as the eye can see, under your command."
"We're pulling apart, and we're coming together, together again" Both from Never Say Never:The Fray
"Just keep me up, keep me up, hollywood here we come." Otherside-Macklemore ft. Ryan Lewis
Those are seriously only a few. But the first two saved my life.
----
Just a few of my favorite Marilyn Monroe quotes
-
"Everybody is always tugging at you. They'd all like a sort of chunck out of you. I don't think they realize it, but it's like 'grrr do this, grr do that...' But you do want to stay intact and on two feet."
-
"I was never used to being happy, so that wasn't something I took for granted. You see, I was brought up differently from the average American child because the average American child is brought up expecting to be happy."

The entirety of Warrior by Demi Lovato gives me strength (as you can probably tell from my sig) and also the entire song Forget and Not Slow Down by Relient K. As for specific lyrics from other songs:
"We live on the cusp of death thinking that it won't be us...friendships cease, no peace of the mind. Stealin and takin anything to fix the pieces inside. Broken, hopeless, headed nowhere...thinkin I would never do that, not that drug. And growing up nobody ever does until you're stuck looking in the mirror like I can't believe what I've become. Swore I was gonna be someone and growing up everyone does. We sell our dreams and our potential to escape through that buzz" - Macklemore
"And I just want to get mugged at knifepoint to get cut enough to wake me up. Cause I know that I don't want to die sitting around watching my life go by. And what we take from this is what we'll get and we haven't quite figured it out just yet because all of us are all too stuck strapped to a chair watching our lives blow up" Relient K
Out of the ashes I'm burning like a fire. You can save your apologies, you're nothing but a liar. I've got shame, I've got scars that I will never show. I'm a survivor in more ways than you know. 'Cause all the pain and the truth, I wear like a battle wound. So ashamed, so confused, I was broken and bruised. Now I'm a warrior.

I'm tired of being what you want me to be
Feeling so faithless, lost under the surface
Don't know what you're expecting of me
Put under the pressure of walking in your shoes
(Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow)
Every step that I take is another mistake to you
(Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow)
[Chorus:]
I've become so numb, I can't feel you there
Become so tired, so much more aware
I'm becoming this, all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you
Can't you see that you're smothering me,
Holding too tightly, afraid to lose control?
'Cause everything that you thought I would be
Has fallen apart right in front of you.
(Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow)
Every step that I take is another mistake to you.
(Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow)
And every second I waste is more than I can take.
[Chorus:]
I've become so numb, I can't feel you there,
Become so tired, so much more aware
I'm becoming this, all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you.
And I know
I may end up failing too.
But I know
You were just like me with someone disappointed in you.
[Chorus:]
I've become so numb, I can't feel you there,
Become so tired, so much more aware.
I'm becoming this, all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you.
[Chorus:]
I've become so numb, I can't feel you there.
(I'm tired of being what you want me to be)
I've become so numb, I can't feel you there.
(I'm tired of being what you want me to be) - Linkin Park, Numb
Help, I have done it again
I have been here many times before
Hurt myself again today
And the worst part is there's no one else to blame
Be my friend
Hold me, wrap me up
Unfold me
I am small and needy
Warm me up
And breathe me
Ouch I have lost myself again
Lost myself and I am nowhere to be found,
Yeah I think that I might break
I've lost myself again and I feel unsafe
Be my friend
Hold me, wrap me up
Unfold me
I am small and needy
Warm me up
And breathe me
Be my friend
Hold me, wrap me up
Unfold me
I am small and needy
Warm me up
And breathe me - Sia, Breathe Me
Well I guess it’s been a while
Since I’ve seen the sunshine
Since I have smiled
And me, who’s so well versed
Is feeling so damn empty
Is at a loss for words
Forgot what it’s like
To just to feel okay
I’m praying for the day
When there is no more rain
And I don’t wanna do anything but cry
Oh, and I don’t wanna do anything but cry
(I don't wanna do anything but cry)
Well I hardly feel alive
I’m going through the motions
But I don’t feel like trying
The hole in my heart is growing bigger by the day
I wish that I could crawl inside
Hide away
And I don’t wanna do anything but cry
Oh, and I don’t wanna do anything but cry
Oh, I’m so low
I’m almost to the bottom
And oh, nowhere to go
Even my soul has left my body
Oh, and I don’t wanna do anything but cry
Oh, and I don’t wanna do anything but cry
And I don't wanna do anything but cry
And I don't wanna do anything but cry - Alexx Calise, Cry
i love these songs, they mean so much to me at the minute and say what i feel

I scream into the night for you
Don't make it true
Don't jump
The lights will not guide you through
They're deceiving you
Don't jump
Don't let memories go
Of me and you
The world is down there out of view
Please don't jump
Don't jump
And if all that can't hold you back
I'll jump for you
-Don't Jump by Tokio Hotel

On the sheets
Wash over me
I can't believe
This is the end" Relient K - Deathbed
"You have brought us to a hope so bright
Now we shine in your eternal light
We are fearless through the seas of life
Mighty is the Lord is our battle cry"
