Re: Favorite Christmas songs - November 30th 2016, 05:37 AM

All my friends and family know my favourite song is Frosty the Snowman.. I break out into singing it at the most random times.. I was driving my friend home the other night and someone nearly hit us from behind. I panicked for a minute then started singing Frosty...

I also LOVE the mashup that Snoop Dogg and Anna Kendrick do in Pitch Perfect 2. Link here

I also like:

Wrapped in Red - Kelly Clarkson
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
Dashing Through the Snow

-I love pretty much all of Chris Tomlin's Christmas songs from his 2009 and 2015 album.
-Where are you Christmas? the Faith Hill version.
-Do you Hear What I Hear? ; O Holy Night ; The First Noel versions by Carrie Underwood.
-What Child is This by Andrea Bocelli.
- The Magic of Christmas Day, Another Year has Gone by Céline Dion and her version of O Come All Ye Faithful. And her some of her songs off of her chante Noël album.
-Go Tell it on the Mountain version by Dolly Parton.
-I saw Three Ships by Blackmore's Night.
-O Come, O Come Emmanuel

We don't really listen to songs like Frosty or Rudolph in my house other than once or twice during the season.

So my top four are:
Fairytale of New York by The Pogues feat. Kirsty MacColl
Do They Know It's Christmas? by Band Aid
I Wish it Could be Christmas Everyday by Wizzard
Wonderful Christmas Time by Paul McCartney

Here's some honourable mentions:
Christmas Time (Don't Let the Bells End) by The Darkness
Mistletoe and Wine by Cliff Richard
Last Christmas by Wham
Sleigh Ride by S Club Juniors
All I Want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey

#ThePerksOfBeingBritish

There are so many other songs that I like but I don't want to list all of them! xD

All I Want for Christmas is a classic, but in general I'm a bit of a Scrooge and don't like Christmas songs. I much prefer carols, and I looooove singing them too. I get to do the once in Royal solo this year which I'm super duper excited about

I used to go caroling with my church. I used to love it. But, I didn't used to be as shy and self conscious and I am now. I also used to love singing and showing off my voice. I wouldn't do it now.. Well, maybe I would if I had kids to take but I don't think too many of the churches around here do that anymore.

White Wine in the Sun. Makes me cry every time; it's beautiful.

No one had to know
The moon asked the crow...

White Christmas (Bing Crosby or bust)
Mary, Did You Know? (by anyone, I love this song)
Silver Bells (something so delightful about this song when a children's choir sings it)

And like any other Christmas song sung by Bing Crosby or Frank Sinatra (I may have an unhealthy obsession with their voices).
