Dubstep, Techno, Screamo. - April 2nd 2011, 01:29 AM

So, All I listen to Is Dubstep, Techno, and Screamo.

People say It Is very weird because like, I am a very professional looking person while at work, but when I am off work, I am the textbook definition of the phrase " multiple personalities " lol. At work I am one person, Off work I am 110% totally different person.

I like to tecktonik, hardstyle, and jumpstyle, I like screamo but can't do It, and Dubstep Is addicting because of the bass.

These 3 genres are 100% different, Is this signs of multiple personalities? Not really a "serious" question just people mention It all the time, especially coworkers >.>

Not really, plenty of people like different styles. All of them have a certain "heaviness" to them in some way, so techno can appeal to rock fans and vice versa.

Personally I can't stand hardstyle, and I don't know anyone who actually enjoys it, but I'm a fan of house music while mostly being a rock fan.

People who mention that haven't even taken a high-school course in psychology so they're going by the literal interpretation of "multiple personality disorder". Complete nonsense. It's possible and frequent, for people to like various things without overtly reflecting it in their daily life. When people look at me, many think I love metal (although I detest screamo), which I do but they're shocked when I say I like some rap, classical, jazz and for peace and quiet, I like nature music.

People find this surprising when they see a guy wearing a shirt with Russian lettering on the front around an AK 47 while on the back it has a list of the "world massacre tour" listing a bunch of countries, alongside dark pants and a thick waist-length black leather jacket lined with fur. However, other days I wear bright blue shirts with bright red sweaters.

Additionally, I'm a pretty good cook, have baked cakes at home from scratch, worked at restaurants, etc... .

People I suppose find it odd because they presume you like techno, screamo and whatever the hell dubstep is (never heard of it), and they then presume certain things about you. People find it odd when they realize you as a person, violate their presumptions and they have trouble figuring it out.

I can rip you off, and steal all your cash, suckerpunch you in the face, stand back and laugh. Leave you stranded as fast as a heart-attack.

It's totally natural to have varied taste in music. I listen to everything from traditional, instrumental Asian music to mainstream pop, and I even have one or two screamo songs. And to be honest, you can be professional and like crazy music, no worries.

’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the [mome raths] outgrabe.
