Oh God.

I hate NME due to their obsession with certain artists, especially within scenes I'm not fond of. I will say that they have a better website than all of the others included in the poll though.

Q used to be decent, but it hasn't been good for a few years now.

Metal Hammer has good quality and it's certainly thorough, but I think it is stunted by being a monthly magazine. Music updates daily, so even the weekly magazines are out of date at times. If MH were weekly I would probably jump ship from K! to that.

As such, I buy Kerrang weekly. It's The Sun of music publications, I know. But I am loyal to it, I like the journalists involved in the magazine, and I completely understand that the trends they jump on to are clearly selling the magazine. This week's issue was actually brilliant in showcasing British rock.

Noteable nod to Rock Sound. They're good.

NME do some good special editions, like the one they did when Syd Barrett died, but I wouldn't buy it usually. Kerrang! annoys me these days because they talk about the same bands over and over and tend to largely settle for the softer music now. They have stupid lists as well. There will be something like "the top 50 musicians alive today" and Olly Sykes will be like number one and Kerry King will be positioned somewhere around 48. It's all wrong. I've never read Q so cannot comment on that, but Metal Hammer is good when I need something to get my teeth in to for a long journey or something, full of bands that I love and usually really cool free CD's and EP's and whatnot! My music magazine of choice, though, has to be Classic Rock or Classic Rock presents Prog. Great magazines to keep for reference, but have recent music news, CD releases, reviews and tour dates relavent to my music tastes

Don't get me started on Kerrang's Top 50 Rockstars list. What a disgrace that was.

I know.. I mean, I love most of the guys on that list, but to call them the 50 greatest rockstars in the world? Hah. I think Oli Sykes should be up there in the top half in all honesty, but second? Most of these bands are way too young to be considered among the greatest.

There was some obvious glaring omissions. Oli should be there, because BMTH do get radio play and more and more people know who he is, either due to the band or his clothing range, so fair enough, but yeah not 2nd. But number 1...most folk don't know who Letlive. are, let alone their lead singer. That is not the trait of a rockstar. Rockstars are people who would actually get spotted! IT MAKES ME ANGRY JUST THINKING ABOUT HOW STUPID IT WAS.

I think he should be there because BMTH, in my opinion, are destined to be metal gods. They're one of the best metal bands Britain has ever produced.

And yeah I have no idea why they chose letlive. as their no.1. Nobody has heard of them and that means they're not "rockstars".

It seems like they were trying to appeal to the 'cool kids' by picking bands formed in the last 10 years.
