How do I put this without confusing people? Okay if you had a favorite singer, would you listen to the music that they lsiten to? Even if you hate that music? Or at least try to find one song that they like? My favorite singer is Jay DeMarcus and I thought I read something saying that he likes Bruno Mars. I really don't like him, but i don't really know.

If they made a recommendation, I'd be more likely to check it out. But I wouldn't feel obliged to listen to music I didn't like just because my favourite musician liked it.

Yeah, I'd check out artists that my favourite bands like, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'm going to like them. If I don't, oh well, I still have the original artist I love.

If they told me bands they liked, I may check them out. However, I wouldn't continue to listen to a band I disliked just because someone else likes them.

I wouldn't listen to any music just because someone else did. I would check it out, yeah, but I wouldn't listen to it if I didn't like it. I'm generally pretty open minded when it comes to music, and I like a lot of different genres, but obviously I'm not into everything, and I wouldn't feel any kind of obligation to feel otherwise.

I don't even really want to check out Bruno Mars to be real here. Sometimes if I listen to something so much, I tend to like it. I'm weird!

I agree with others. I'd still listen to the artist even if they liked other artists that I didn't. It doesn't change their music.

I would definitely check out the music, but I wouldn't force myself to listen to it if it wasn't my cup of tea. It's just not that important to me.

If one of my favourite artists/bands recommended something I would probably check it out, but if I didn't like it I wouldn't continue to listen to it. But saying that, most of the time whatever is recommended is usually pretty good!

Depends on if it's similar to what I listen to.
Like, if Patrick Stump said he liked somethin along the lines of Avenged Sevenfold, Skillet, Rise Against and Red, I'd probably look it up. If that makes sense.  |

No. I might check it out if I was in the mood to find some new music, but just because they recommend it doesn't mean I'll like it. And if I don't like something I won't listen to it, no matter who recommends it.
