Anyone on here know of any good folk bands? it's just that my friend needs to listen to folk music for her A Level music course and I dunno what to recommend for her to listen to xD Really I've only heard of Iron & Wine and I don't even know if they're folk xD Help would be appreciated. xxxxx I'm medicated, how are you? There's a comedy band from around here called the Arrogant Worms. Apparently some of their music is folk.

My favourite folk bands are fairport convention, pentangle and emily barker and the red clay halo. Hope that helps.

No one seems to be mentioning proper folk to be honest, but there are some good, modern bands. I reccomend Bellowhead and Kerfuffle! They're really good bands.
