I have only seen it once and I really enjoyed it, even though I didn't stop crying from start to end.
It is coming back to Liverpool this year with Mel C as Mrs Johnstone and I really wanted to go again but no one would go with me.
I have now got tickets for Hairspray with Phil Jupitus as Edna for my 18th birthday...
I only really chose Hairspray over Blood brothers because I haven't seen it in the theatre before.
My Mum liked Blood Brothers but she says she goes to the theatre so come out happy not depressed. So she prefers Joseph (So do I, that is my joint favourite musical with Beauty and the Beast ))
That is one of the reasons I chose Hairspray, I don't want to be depressed for my birthday
And I am going with my Mum so I picked something she would like too.
I havnt seen it.
But ive read it, and i was rather shocked at how much i liked it. <3
But there's a hope that's waiting for you in the dark,
You should know you're beautiful just the way you are,
And you don't have to change a thing,
The world could change its heart,
No scars to your beautiful,
we're stars and we're beautiful...

Josie 12/3/2014, always in my heart. Sue 19/2/2016 always in my thoughts. Never to be forgotten.
I was supposed to go and see it with my school when I was doing GCSE drama but I was in hospital at the time.
Plus my drama teacher has been in it many times, would have been interesting to see her on stage.
