Blue Screen of death. HALP! - January 11th 2009, 01:04 PM

So, I keep getting the message:
"A Problem has occurred with ialmdev5.dll. This could be caused by new software you have installed."

I updated to service pack 3(I know, a bit late). Reinstalled graphics drivers, and tried to download the Intel driver for my chipset, but it did not work. Gave me the error:
"The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer's manufacturer."

Blarg! I dunno what to do next. This only happens when I try to play the game Star Wars Galaxies, I'd really like to play the game after the freaking five hour download I had to wait for it. Useful computer specs below. If you don't know how to help but you know a computer site/forum, please feel free to point me towards it.

Is that where you're getting the drivers from?
If it isn't, use the drivers there.
If it is, it appears that your BIOS version is A04, meaning you can update the BIOS. It's a slim chance, but it might just work. Download the BIOS update and run it - DELL have nice and simple updaters that work without hassle.

Be very very very careful when flashing the BIOS - it can destroy your motherboard if done wrong

Using Dell's tool, you just have to make sure the power doesn't cut out. Other than that, just don't interfere with it and it'll be fine.

That is where I got the drivers from and..thanks for that Sonic, now I'm scared to do it, lol. I'll have Dad do it when he gets home, he's better with computers than me.
