Two finger scrolling - February 1st 2014, 06:19 PM

I've had my laptop for about four years now, & I've always had two finger scrolling. I had an issue once where it went away so I downloaded synaptics to get it back, problem solved. However, I had my computer reformatted a couple of days ago & the two finger scrolling is gone again. I've tried downloading synaptics again, but the instructions says it's supposed to allow a tab to appear in the mouse settings, which it's not there, so I can't select to turn it on. Any suggestions?

Okay, well since nobody here knew how to do it, I'll post what I did to fix it. I had gone to the synaptics website & tried downloading their mouse driver, but had no luck with that. I went on it again this morning & they had a link to manufacturer's websites (like HP, samsung, dell, etc.) so I clicked on my laptop's brand, found software downloads, was able to type in which laptop I had, & they gave me a list of software & drivers. I downloaded the mouse driver & TADA! My mouse pad is fixed & I have two finger scrolling again.

This can be closed.

This happened all the time with my old Dell. *Uninstall drivers, reinstall drivers* *uninstall drivers, reinstall drivers* etc.
