Best laptop IYO? - November 19th 2017, 10:27 PM

So I'm looking for a lap top, one that I can play sims and wizard101 on with no problem but I can't spend a whole lot on one. I'd like a 17" one.

My question is, what is the best brand to go for? I currently have apple but I'm looking for a windows. I hear Toshiba is a good brand but I want to see if there are other people with other opinions.

If you want a relatively cheap (but not always great in specs) and durable imo, look at HP. I have my HP for about 5 years and it works wonders and all in one piece! I also have a Dell but I do not for the life of me recommend Dell at all.

I have a 17 inch Toshiba which I love! I've ad hp Lenovo and Acer before but this has been my best so far. Sims is a little laggy sometimes but mostly runs fine too. It cost me about 450 2 years ago so you could probably get something similar buy slightly better now too. I'm not a computer expert though so it may be worth asking in a store too!

What are you looking to spend?

I could ask my boyfriend his opinion but he'd say it's depended on budget.

He does prefer Asus though and they do have some decent computers but I don't know if they would be in your budget.

I'm looking no more than 700 dollars. I was thinking of getting a Toshiba, they have a new one for around 575 dollars that has what I'm looking for, but I want to see if I can find another brand as good as toshiba.

I just got my new HP pavilion x360 14' and it was $460 dollars. I hate Toshiba but most of my computers have been HPs and I love them. They are a good quality. Also before buying I would look at black Friday deals. I know best buy has there black Friday preview deals to see if there is one that is going cheaper then original. But I would go with an HP.

My boyfriend says Asus is probably the best to go with based on your budget and what you are looking for.

He did say that Toshiba and hp are decent computer so if you'd like to go with that than you could. However, Asus tends to have the better hardware and that's usually what you want.

Essentially, if you want the most for your money you'd want to go with Asus over the other brands.

for gaming,
MSI, or Alienware are gret but $$$$.
Asus is the best on a budget IMO. If you're not totally needing a laptop, maybe build a desktop, that may be cheaper

Msi is a decent brand. Building a computer is always better and you tend to get more for your money. However, if you need it for school then it probably wouldn't work. Also, it helps to have people who can build it for you if you don't know how. My boyfriend has built a few of his friends computers and he was able to get them the best set up for their budget.

Since you have gone ahead and found a computer, I am going to go ahead and close this. If you disagree with this decision or would like the thread reopened please feel free to message me.
