Help me choose a laptop and its configuration. - January 21st 2010, 05:43 PM

Please. I don't know much about computers... Just how to make them do what I want them to do. I know nothing about all of the stuff that makes up the computer, etc.

I want a laptop. I'm going to use it for homework, internet, and I would like if I were able to put Sims 3 on it.

Can you please go to this site and post back to me on here what configurations would be best for what I'm needing in a computer? Price is not an issue.

I would really, really appreciate it.

Edit- Or if you have a different website, better than Toshiba, that's fine too.

Toshiba are very reliable from what I know.

This one looks good for what you want, and is the cheapest I saw:
http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/pdet.to?poid=467379

It will run Sims 3 with ease, it's fast enough, has more than enough memory to run the game, and 4 times as much Graphics memory as is required for Sims 3. It shouldn't have any trouble playing media, running office, etc.

If I wasn't concerned with money, I would buy this one though:
http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/pdet.to?poid=460550

That will do anything could ever want, and won't be considered slow or old for quite a while. At that price it's worth getting extended warranty as well.

For what you're looking at you will want to look for a minimum of:

3GB+ of Memory
320GB+ Hard drive
256MB+ graphics

That should be ample for what you're going to use it for, but I would go with the second one above. ^
