Where do you get your ring tones from? - February 3rd 2010, 06:05 PM

Okay so I know theres a thread that asks what your ring tone is and theres a lot of diffrent answers so I'm just wondering how everyone gets them on there phones.

Me I used to record them on my phone and save them then text them to myself...But then someone told me about phonezoo and now that is where I get mine from.
So what about you guys?

I have an iPhone, so I need to use a converter to convert my .mp3's into .m4a's. I find the one from Xilisoft works quite well.

For my iPhone I have to convert any tracks to .m4a so I use iTunes for that, then I use WinSCP to transfer the files to the right place on the phone.

If your phone has a memory card (Normally SG), jget a usb converter for it and chuck whatever songs you want on it. Put it back into the phone and set whatever you've put on it as your ringtone. Only fools pay for ringtones these days...They're so overpriced. Don't waste your money.

I download them to my computer and then connect my phone to my computer.

I have an iPhone so I make mine. Other people are saying they're converting their music to m4a then using a program to move them to the right place on their phone, which confuses me because I've never had to do that.

I just use a program to send the mp3 files over USB, but only since my phone is ancient, you probably don't have to do that with even most modern phones, since they're mp3 players too.

I just put .mp3s on my phone using a the USB lead that come with it. If I want just a certain part of the song to be my ringtone I crop it using Audacity.
