iPad Wi-Fi Problems - April 6th 2010, 02:47 PM

Apple chose a really bad position for the wi-fi transmitter on the back of the iPad, or they used a weak transmitter. Whatever the cause, the wireless connection on many units is somehow getting mucked up.

Phew!! I was worried someone was already asking for advice

Definitely NOT good news for Apple, considering reception to the iPad has already been a bit lukewarm. I'm sure many are praying that it isn't a hardware problem, but it would be on par with the iphone's record...

This is exactly why I never buy the first generation of any Apple product.

I bet a new generation of the iPad is out sooner rather than later. There are a lot of tweaks that need to be made with it, from what I've heard from various reviews. It seems like Apple was overeager and just wanted to get the idea out there.

So many people out there are raging about this internet connection thingy. Perhaps the next generation iPad will do, hopefully. My friends hates Mac for that reason, or the fact that Apple always fudge something up. I am starting to feel that way too...

they have found out that the issue is due to dual-band routers which transmit dual b/g signals which basically is most all the current routers in use today. They way to resolve it is to turn the router to B or G only.

Should be easily solved with software then. But seriously, how didn't they see this coming? Apple are seriously coming off as a bunch of irresponsible idiots.

However I find it hard to slant the iPad after seeing this, which makes me act thusly.

As far as I'm aware. This problem is solved for most people when they adjust the brightness setting. I'm not sure why this is, but it was posted by engadget (source).

I'm definitely going to get an iPad as soon as they come out in the UK. I just think they are going to be abotu $200 more expensive over here.
