Unhappy iPod Question. - April 9th 2010, 11:21 PM

OK well my computer has been really retardidly slow and messed up and I have to re-format, but everytime I re-format my computer, my iPod library is gone and I have to re-do the entire thing and download everything all over again! It's a pain in the butt and I won't do it again.
My dad has a DVD drive and some spare DVD's with lots of memory on it, so I have a question...I have an 8GB iPod Nano, is there any way I can back up my library to a disc so I don't have to re-install it all over again? Please help, thanks!

On Mac's, iTunes has the option in the File menu.

iTunes->File->Library->Back-Up to Disc.
