Can anyone write a text in T9 (predictive text)?

The only person I know who can use T9 is my ex boyfriend Everyone else I know just gets confused with it (like me)

Just wondering who can actually use it.

I used to be able to; before I had my full keyboard phone :P
But when I first started with T9 I was super confused... You just have to get the hang of it,
it really does make things easier for you if you don't have a full keyboard.
I don't know if I could still do it though. But I doubt that I will ever have to...
Now that I've had a full keyboard I don't want to go back

I could use predictive texting on my old phone but it would take me half an hour to write texts out because it confused me so I didn't ever use it

When I had my touch screen phone it made things a lot easier but when I'm working with buttons it just messed up all the time

Now I have a QWERTY keyboard so it doesn't really matter

Yep, I used to use it all of the time on my old mobile phone, it was so much quicker. Now I use my iPhone which is full keyboard and so I just type with that - there is no option of T9. There is this thing that completes words for you, but it annoys me.

I used to use T9 when I had a full button phone and also when I had a touch screen phone too. I found it really easy to pick up, and I was sooo fast at doing it! But now I have my iPhone which has a full qwerty so there's no need for T9.

You can turn off the auto-complete in the settings btw! It's called auto-correction, and it's in the general > keyboard part in the settings

Yeah, I can use it. It took me a while to get use to doing it but once I got the hang of it, texting was a lot faster. It also meant that I couldn't text the other way again but I got a qwerty keyboard now so I didn't need to do it anymore.

I text fairly fast even though my phone doesn't have a full keyboard, but I think I'm going to start trying T9.. haven't used it in years though, it used to confuse me so much.

Edit - JUST started using T9 last night. I am absolutely in love with it. Makes life so much easier

i've used T9 ever since i got my first phone, it was just so much faster
now my phone has a full keyboard that slides out, but on the front screen i have a numeric keypad.
if i'm texting at work i use the front keypad and use T9, cuz i can do it with one hand and without looking

Haha, I'm ashamed to say my parents text speak. It takes me so long to work out what they're trying to text me xD

My mum does that and sometimes it takes me a while to figure out what shes saying to me as I don't quite know what all of it means

Before I got my querty keyboard, all I could use was predictive. Its simple and way quicker once you get used to it.

The only time I use text words are for things like U for you, 2 for two, too, to and I sometimes drop the odd vowel. I don't go overboard though. I only do it to save credit as I don't have to type out two texts

My siblings do that...I always lecture them if they do before bothering to consult whatever it was they actually tried to say >.>.

I can't use it, it drives me crazy.
It just...doesn't work! It doesn't give me the words I want. I tried to put an x at the end of a text to my friend once and it kept coming up 'yzxy' That's not even a word!

I yell at my mother for it. Seriously, I hate it. Like, come on. I taught you how to text, now can you use that grammar you were taught as a kid?!
Once I had my mother text my exgirlfriend for me while I was in the hospital. I felt like an idiot because I always use correct grammar when I text.

I have the Env3, so I've got buttons on the front and it flips open to a full keyboard. I don't use t9 and I never have. I used ABC on the front. I'm one of the only people I don't know that doesn't use t9. I do text in "proper" English, however.
