Android phone.... - August 12th 2011, 04:05 PM

I got the Android Optimus V, I use my phone a lot txting my GF and using twitter ect. My battery does last but a few hours, where my other phone. My LG Rumor Touch lasted me 3 days with out a charge. Could this be a battery issue with my Android? or is it normal with the android powered phones? I even downloaded a task killer and this app called juice defender. Anyone who knows a lot about the android please help? thx

Hey,

I know smart phones tend to use a lot more battery power than ordinary phones. My friend hand an android and it had to be charged every day.

Depending on how long you've had the phone though it could just be the battery life coming to an end so you could always try buying a new one but keep in mind most smart phones don't have amazing battery life.

I hope this helped

Depends on how much you use the Android since it has more features. The more features a phone has + how much you use it = very small battery life.

When I had a phone and could only use it for emergency calls, my battery lasted 2+ weeks. I got a phone with texting, limited internet, and unlimited phone calls, which I use throughout the day, it lasts a day or so.

I have an android as well. Its the same will all androids. I have mine on the charger a lot.
The thing with droids are, they do so much even when you don't use it! A few battery saver tricks are disable your backround data. This just updates your apps (which is pointless). Also there is a battery saver option. I have mine set to ultimate battery saver or something live that. And your contrast: either have it on the lowest or automatic adjust. And if you have an animated wall paper, I would switch it to un-animated. This should help a little

I have a the HTC Sensation 4g and even when all the bells and whistles are on it last me throughout the day. I use the phone very heavily though out the day. This thing has a dual core 1ghz processor and a gig of ram its a powerhouse! If the phone is only lasting a few hours then you might want to get it looked at.
