American McGee's Alice

I'm not really a video gaming freak unless it comes to the Sims but a game that really caught me was American McGee's Alice. It's about Alice (From Alice in Wonderland) all grown up and a fire started in her house and she was confined to an asylum and because she's breaking down so is Wonderland so she returns to Wonderland to put things right and it's been taken over by the Queen of Hearts. I think it appeals to me because of the whole mental health thing and due to the fact that Alice in Wonderland is my all time favorite story. Anyway the game came out in 2005 and now the sequel is out, i'm wondering if anyone has heard of it! It's not for the sceamish as there are some scary baddies!

I saw an advert for the sequel and wanted to play it but unfortunately I lack a 360 or PS3 and I don't think I have a computer that will run it (n)

I'd like to play the first one though but I can't find it for sale at a reasonable price. I mean really? I'm not paying £20 for a game that came out in 2005 when the sequel is like £10 more xD

Yea it's because the original game has became a collectors item and the price has been bumped up! I haven't played Madness Returns yet but the first game doesn't require alot of space and the graphics are good (not as good as the graphics they now make but hey, it was 2005!)

The first one was actually extremely popular. I hadn't heard of it until a few years ago and my boyfriend thought I was insane. :P

I love this game! AMAZING artwork and gameplay. The second one is out and it looks even more amazing.

I watched a walkthrough on YouTube of the second game and it's more fxcked up than the last game, in a good way ofcourse

Apparantly there was going to be a movie made about it but it's been shelved, gutted.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!? A movie would be so dang EPIC!
This storyline they created is just absolutely amazing.

What makes most shrilling part of it is that the fire that killed her parents was started because she didn't turn off the lantern when she fell asleep! So sad but very creative take on Alice in Wonderland.

I know! Sarah Michelle Geller was going to play Alice as she's also a fan of the games!

I'm a sucker for spoilers so i read the story before playing to the end and my jaw dropped!!! It takes me forever to play Alice because i always get scared of the baddies and pause, get some courage then kick their arse!!

I never finished the first one, yet. It crashed on my comp for some reason. It was a very sad day lol
