World of Warcraft: Mists of Panderia - October 21st 2011, 09:30 PM

Mists of Panderia

Quote:
The fourth World of Warcraft expansion set, Mists of Pandaria, has been unveiled! Shrouded in fog since the world was sundered more than ten thousand years ago, the ancient realm of Pandaria has remained unspoiled by war. Its lush forests and cloud-ringed mountains are home to a complex ecosystem of indigenous races and exotic creatures — including the noble and enigmatic pandaren. Will the mists of Pandaria part to reveal the world's salvation… or will the battle to control this new land push the Horde and the Alliance over the brink of war and into total annihilation?
Quote:
In Mists of Pandaria, players will be able to explore an all-new continent while reaching new heights of power on their way to an increased level cap of 90. In addition, adventurers can choose whether to side with the Horde or the Alliance as World of Warcraft’s first neutral race — the pandaren — and master the ways of Pandaria’s ancient martial arts as the all-new monk class.
For more information, check out the official press release, and visit the new World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandariawebsite for screenshots, information about the new features, concept art, the announcement trailer, and more.

Anyone else seriously excited about this?!

If I played WoW, I would love this...

As it is, I love it, but I'm STILL not willing to shell out a lot for WoW and all the expansions, plus a $15 Subscription fee.

Cool Story, bro.

I've dropped off the wagon of WoW...it is well done and all...but I'd rather play something that is free than $15 a month.
Pandas...I'm not too excited; it doesn't quite fit in with the theme they have going. I'd probably only play to see what has changed and explore a little, but that is it.

Hey if you're level 85 then you can't be that much of a noob!
I only have two characters. My main is a Level 71 (basically 72) Blood Elf Death Knight (Unholy) and a Level 64 Blood Elf Paladin (Prot.). I'm more of a noob than you! :P

Re: World of Warcraft: Mists of Panderia - November 3rd 2011, 01:35 AM

The Pandaren have appeared in WoW lore since the Warcraft games. I did like the new scenarios, and the Monk class might be awesome, but sadly I believe it is to easily related to Kung Fu Panda. I also don't like the simplifying of the game, and I'm a little unsure about how to take the battling pets thing (Pokemon, anyone?)

Is it just me, or Blizzard should have waited and released a 10 level cap, as before. I think the expansions are coming out to quickly.

Apart from that, I do like playing WoW and will probably end up buying the expansion when I get to 85 (I level all my 8 characters in a random manner, so I level reaaaaaally slowly ).

Thats blizzards plan for game domination so you should be able to play your pandas by Summer 2012 (wow X4).

I had a long text ready about how some things are good but at the end of the day the glory days are over and the effect of the rubbish last 2 expansion completely killed the game. But I thought it had no place here.

I really enjoyed playing a few years ago, nearly getting gladiator and getting realm firsts and messing around with friends etc.. but the people that played the game from the beginning are now, like me, 20+ and have more important things to do and the new teenagers just arent going to get into an ancient game like wow. They are better off waiting for GW2 if they want an MMO thats fresh and exciting.

Just realised I summarised the same thing I meant to leave out, but it looks better now.
