Accessories to match this dress? - March 4th 2013, 04:50 PM

Hi,

So I have this dress that I bought to wear at the end of April for my university ball. I've decided to do a 50s pin up look with the hair and make up and the dress.

I'm not sure what sort of jewellery and stuff to wear with it though.

This is the dress :

Also, if anyone knows of any good hair tutorials that would be appreciated too

Hi Wow, that dress is gorgeous. If I were you, I probably wouldn't accessories too much because I don't think it needs it. Some nice heels, simple earrings (if you have your ears pierced) maybe a flower in your hair if you really want, but with the hair and the make up I really don't think you need it.

Oh, and I have a friend who went all fifties for a dance show, and this and this were the two tutorials she used for her hair

Wow. Gorgeous dress, if you aren't too cold I'd advise bare legs (or nude tights) with red kitten heels and a clutch bag. Maybe some small earrings but I wouldn't want accessories to distract from the dress. In my opinion, red lipstick is a must.

I agree with a lot of the previous posts, red lipstick is a must and if you're gonna have your hair up in a rockabilly style some simple dangly earrings and a pinup-esk necklace, maybe a simple swallow?

I know everyone else has said not many accessories, but you often see this sort of dress in the 50's look worn with a short necklace of just round plain beads, either black or red to go with the dress.
