DIY Projects - April 26th 2013, 09:16 PM

Does anyone have any cute DIY projects I could do? Preferably with t-shirts or bracelets. Please give me some instructions or at least pics!

the site called "pinterest", my friend! you can start exploring there. I'll come back and post something here from that site if you really want but I think you know what you're looking for best. Also the site cut out and keep. If you're interested in bracelets, do you mean friendship bracelets? Also, for t-shirts, you can make stencils out of freezer paper and use fabric paint to decorate t-shirts and other clothes. There are also some projects you can do like making a t-shirt into a shopping bag instead of using plastic. So which are you looking for?

Making jewellery is my main hobby, so if you want advice on how to achieve specific ideas then I can try to help. Let us know what kind of things you'd like to make, and we'll be able to give more specific advice and instructions.

I've looked on pinterest. Believe me, I live on pinterest. I'm just tired of seeing the same old crafts..

Something you can do is get some kind of plain blazer, vest or jacket in whatever material you think will work, and just modify it. Buy patches, or make them- you could just cut out scrap fabric and use fabric paint to make a patch. Then see them on or safety-pin them on. You can also put fabric paint directly on the jacket itself, and paint some kind of symbol or phrase or something. Find buttons to put on, or get different prints of fabric and put random patches of that on it. You could use scissors to distress it if it's an appropriate material... And you could get studs in a cool shape (or just regular studs) and add them The fun thing about doing something like that is its never really complete- you never know when you'll find something else to add to it.
