Whoops.... - July 10th 2013, 07:18 PM

So, my Dad and Stepmum (well, his fiancée, I already consider her a stepmum) are getting married next August (24th). And when I was there for the weekend, my stepmum pointed out that I should wear strapless tops when I'm out to avoid getting tan lines as my bridesmaid dress was strapless. She had a good point, I didn't even think of it!

Anyway, I went to the park yesterday and I wore a strapless top - I borrowed one from my Mum, and I got a nice tan on my shoulders as I was sitting in the sun for about an hour and a half. Didn't have my legs on show - I don't like having skin on show, it makes me think that people are going to touch me - but my legs don't matter much as my bridesmaid dress is floor length.

So, I was looking at my tan in the shower and I realised that my tan line was a straight line and my dress dips slightly at the front... I guess you see my problem now!!

Anyway, I'm going to the beach on Saturday - I hope! - and I have a dip-py top to wear then, which I'm going to, but what happens if I can't get the tan line to fade of I end up with it being too high at the front or something?

I don't want to use fake tan, it creeps me out. It's like someone putting on fake skin. I was thinking of putting foundation above my boobs just to make it less obvious - would this work?

It sounds weird, I know, but it's all I've come up with!!

Thanks,
RosieJ.

And she turns up the music, to drown out her life.

22/12/2014 was the last date I self-harmed. The longest I have gone so far is 1 year, 2 months and 5 days. This time, I hope I can give up! New record: 1 year 6 months! Yay!!

If you don't want to use fake tan to get rid of the lines then I agree that some foundation would be your best bet. You can blend it along the lines so that they aren't as harsh and I'm sure that nobody will notice.
I also want to point out that everyone will be looking at your dress rather than your tan lines, so don't stress about it too much

And here you are living, despite it all.

Foundation would work best, most likely.
Like Nicole said, they'll be paying more attention to your dress. And to be honest, if someone's staring long and hard enough at your chest to notice tan lines, you should say something to them. :P

Do you like coffee? you could use coffee grounds with a tad of olive oil instead of self tanner to blend it a bit if the lines still don't match after the beach. Keep reapplying for darker results.

Like everyone said , foundation really would work the best!

the girl who always seemed unbreakble finally
BROKE
the girl who seemed strong
CRUMBLED
the girl who always laughed
CRIED
the girl who never stopped trying finally
GAVE UP

she let her fake smile fade and as she did a tear rolled down her cheek and she whispered

' i can't do this anymore'
