What foundation do you use? - July 24th 2013, 12:49 PM

I have problems with acne so I always wear foundation to try and cover my pimples.

I only wear Dream Matte Mouse (Ivory seems to match my skin tone nearly perfectly) I love it it's creamy and makes my skin look nearly flawless.

I use Revlon Colorstay. It's amazing. It's heavy coverage, though, so you definitely can feel it on your face. But it's matte and lasts all day.

The acne might be made worse by the foundation actually because your covering the pores and not allowing your skin to "breathe" properly. You'd almost be better off just washing your skin and getting some sort of "anti-acne" cream to clear it up. And if you find it gets worse around "that time of the month" then go on the pill, I used to get pimples and zits and then once I went on the pill I only ever get the odd one every few months (instead of a bunch every month). Foundation also has a tendency to dry out the skin, which might also be allowing the acne to show up easier.... So personally, I'd seek other ways to GET RID of the acne NOT to cover it up hope that helps, if not, buy high quality stuff, go into a store with actual make up people present and ask them for a foundation that will promote getting rid of acne OR buy base products to go under the foundation that get rid of acne so that you can get use of both

I was on the pill (for contraceptive reasons) for about 6 months and now I'm on the depo injection, it has never really helped tbh :/ My mum always tells me not to wear much too but I'm pretty self-conscious over it

I use No7 Stay Perfect. I find it hard to find shades that suit my skin tone, so when I heard that they had the colour match machine thing, I was intrigued. And it fits well!

Right now I am using the clinique acne solutions. It gets rid of all my redness, and it's supposed to help treat acne.
Def the best I've tried so far, even though it's a bit pricey compared to drugstore makeup.

This but in ivory. I need something that lasts through work and days when I'm not home to reapply it.

For the liquid, I use Revlon Colorstay.

For the powder foundation, I use Loreal True Match.

To ward of acne, I also use Clean and Clear Morning Burst or the Neutrogena Deep Clean cleanser. Occasionally, if I have a bad break out, I will either use Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash or Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask. However, I will ONLY use ones with acne soaps in them if I'm already broken out because I hate how red they make my skin. I won't include pictures of all of these, since it isn't about acne cleansers, but you're welcome to Google them all. I dealt with acne for a long, long time, I've got a system.
