Snail gel/cream - April 25th 2014, 11:29 AM

I have problems with acne. I'm currently taking erythromycin for it which DOES reduce the amount of acne I have but I still get some pimples here and there. I've heard that snail gel/cream helps acne; at first I thought the idea was pretty gross but I'm thinking of giving it a go

(know it's the Daily Fail but it's the only real article I can find)

Has anyone tried it? Does it work?

Wow I've never heard of that. The thing that helps me the most with my acne a lot is diet. But only when I cut out ALL sweets and excess oil and drinking water and pure juices. Currently I am using any face scrub, then toning with Seabreeze and finally putting on a spot treatment. I'm using Persa Gel and it's the best thing I've ever used in my 8 years of putting crap on my face. I put it on my entire face once a day and for the pimples that I want to target, two more times. A pimple that would have been huge and sore just disappears in like two days. I also use the toner to remove make up. Everything is OTC, but I am in the US. You could probably find it on amazon if you decide to give it a shot.

I've never heard of it! It sounds pretty interesting and hopefully it will work for you if you decide to try it!

To get rid of acne, I normally wash my face thoroughly twice a day. Make sure you don't wash your face too much because this can strip your face of needed oils, causing the body to produce even more, which can lead to more acne. After washing, I use toner and spot treatment type stuff. Most of my spot treatments products have 10% benzoyl peroxide, which is relatively strong compared to some acne medicines. I've found that these products work well, but dry out my skin easily. Because of that, I have found that a good moisturizer helps a lot.

Anyways, this seems like a really cool product and I'm interested in how it works. Feel free to keep us updated if you do decide to try it!

Thanks both I've used products with benzoyl peroxide before and they made my skin REALLY dry. flakey and painful >.> I did buy some snail cream after, I found some cheap on eBay for £3.25/$5.49. It's from South Korea so it'll take a while to get here It was just a LOT cheaper than some of the others I found.
