Leggings - October 25th 2014, 04:07 AM

So, I was thinking about asking for leggings for Christmas to wear as normal pants, not like over a skirt or anything. I think I've heard of girls doing that before, because it's comfy.

But, I just am scared of the whole "camel toe" situation happening. Should I order a size larger than the size I use for jeans to counteract this, or anything like that? I'd be ordering them online and while Hot Topic does allow for returns, I'd have to pay for shipping so I want to get it right. How likely is it I'd have that "camel toe" situation happen, and are they really that comfortable? As it stands right now I only ever wear jeans.

Let it come and let it be...

I wear leggings like that a lot because like you said, it's really comfortable.

See if you can look at the material that they're made of. Mine are made of 95% cotton and 5% spandex. It might help if you can read some reviews, too, to see if they're sized decently or how they run in general. I've never had that situation happen to me before. But, while my leggings are form fitting, they're not overly tight. I've noticed that leggings (and yoga pants) stretch more as you wear them throughout the day, so I don't think that situation is likely to happen.

You could also look into Jeggings. I know Target has good ones and they look just like jeans but they're a lot more comfortable.

I agree with Cassie about leggings. They are really comfortable to wear as pants and I also tend to wear that quite a lot too About the size, I'd say its best to go to the store one day and just try them on to figure out which size is best for you. Sometimes with pants, sizes can differ. Hope this helps!

I usually wear tunics with leggings because I am scared about the "camel toe" situation.

I got my leggings one size bigger because they wear doing funky things on me. But my other leggings are the same size as the ones I just got and are too big. So it honestly all depends on the type and company you get them from. I also want to point out Hot Topic where I live tends to run small. I have things that would normally fit me but because there from hot topic they don't. So keep that in mind while you are ordering them too.

I've actually never seen camel toe issues with leggings, or not frequently, and a lot of girls here wear them as pants. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just make sure they're not sheer...I've seen a few see-through ones.

A lot of girls wear them as pants as well, and I haven't really seen any issues with camel toes. Although there's quite a fair amount of see through or underwear showing ones. My younger sister hates jeans, and refuses to wear anything but leggings or skirts..and she's yet to have a problem.
