Is this "inappropriate"? - January 15th 2016, 01:28 AM

I was just wondering if it's considered inappropriate for a mother/wife to get a belly button piercing. I'm almost 21 years old. A soon to be mother of two, and i'm married. I had my belly button pierced from age 14-18. But, now I just don't know if i'm too old for it. I have mixed feelings about it. It's not like it will be shown & advertised everywhere I go. But, I just don't know. HELP!

It's your body. If you want it, get it. My cousin is turning 21 soon and is pregnant. She has one. If you like them you should get it. If anyone thinks badly, screw them. You're right, it's not like you're going to be broadcasting it for everyone anyway, but even if you did it's your body and you like it!

If you want to get it feel free. It definitely isn't inappropriate to have one though. I personally really like belly button piercings so if you want to have one then great! Its not going to be on display anyway so it's not like anyone will be able to see it to complain. My cousin is 22 and she has a son and a belly button piercing and it looks really good on her. If you want to get one, it is your body and you can do whatever you want with it.

I know 40 years old that have it done. I don't think it matters if your a mother, wife, single, young or old. If you want it go for it.

If you're pregnant currently then I suggest waiting until you aren't pregnant. Other than that go for it.

Thanks for all the replies! I was definitely waiting until after I am not pregnant anymore! I have been considering this for some time now, and just wanted opinions from other people!

Hey,

You're still very young. There's nothing wrong with you getting your belly button pierced. No one else's opinion should matter. Do whatever makes you happy!

Best of luck to you,
Paige

If you want to get it pierced then do it. If you end up not liking it, you can always take it out.
