So i got a new leather jacket and im just wondering will carrying a backpack damage it? Ive got a cotton strap backpack if it is important.

What do you plan on carrying in your backpack? I think that if you aren't carrying too much and it's not particularly heavy then it should be fine on the leather jacket. But if it's heavier or you're wearing it for long periods of time, then I would be a little cautious. I guess it also depends on how well you look after the jacket overall as well.

Unless your backpack is made of razor wire and sandpaper, I'm sure nothing bad's gonna happen to your jacket. Though you might want to be careful with sliding it on/off. To avoid abrasions and such.

That would be okay unless you have some blades etc. in your backpack.
