Clothes advice - August 10th 2017, 12:34 AM

Hi guys!

I haven't really been on this site much but kinda need some advice here. So last year, my mom got me this blue and black stripped blazer for Christmas and I'm kinda struggling on coming up with an outfit to wear it with. So I kinda came up with an outfit that'll go with it and I want your advice/opinion on how it looks, suggestions, or any comments regarding it. I've attached a picture of me wearing it with black dress pants and a black and white printed top.

Does it go well together? Should I change anything? Please let me know. Any help/advice/suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Personally, I am not super fond of the white and black shirt that you are wearing underneath. I think it would look better with a solid color? Maybe a black or white shirt?

This is all personal opinion though and I tend to like more solid colors. I just feel like the white and black shirt underneath doesn't contrast well with the blue and black blazer.

Not sure if that helps and I hope someone else will come by to give their opinion as well.

Hey Rishy!

Totally agree with ^ what she said. Wearing a solid black or white shirt is better than the printed black and white. The printed shirt is great by itself but not with the blazer, it looks very busy. A solid colour is best, by the way, do you know where your mum got the blazer from? I really like it

Hey Rishy,

As Jenna and Del have said, I'd recommend going with a solid shirt with that particular blazer. I love the shirt you're wearing underneath, but having two patterns that are so different is a little bit busy, so it makes it hard to focus on a specific part of your outfit. The blazer is definitely the statement piece, so keeping everything else a little more neutral/solid will make sure that it's what people notice most. I love the blazer, by the way!

Take care,
Sammi
