Dance Apparel - August 4th 2018, 02:54 AM

So school is starting soon and I am a junior meaning dances and prom however I am having a little clothing issue.
I hate dresses and do not want to wear one, but I also do not feel comfortable wearing a tux( adding in my parents would kill me if I did ).
I was wondering if anyone knew of a kind of middle option for formal dances?

A flowy, fancy enough romper/jumpsuit might be a good compromise between the two?

Maybe you could wear nice suit pants and a formal top that suits your style. I think you could maybe search for some clothes you think that would be good for dances and promotions. But since school usually doesn't start till the middle to end of August you have time. I know homecoming dances are usually in between the middle of September and middle of October so that give you time and promise isn't till April or may. So I wouldn't stress too much about this right now.

I hope this helped.
Your Friend,

Don't lose who you are, in the blur of the stars
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing,
It's okay not to be okay
Sometimes it's hard, to follow your heart
Tears don't mean you're losing, everybody's bruising,
Just be true to who you are

Try button-up suit or a flirty jumpsuit, which can give you all the statement, without the dresses-only prom cliche.

My friend hates dresses and skirts, so we found a nice jumpsuit for her prom. May work for you too!

Try a jumpsuit! It has the comfort of pants and can range from super girly to sexy to a little more masculine depending on your style and comfort level. My friend made her own jumpsuit for prom, it was blush colored and had a train with flowers on it...super cute!
