Gifting white gold or sterling steel as silver when she doesnt like gold? - December 9th 2009, 12:19 AM

She says that she doesnt like gold.

However I have chance to choose jewlery from: white gold or sterling steel.

I believe she was talking about gold as yellow gold? or do some people hate gold whatever gold it is?

she says she only wears silver.

Theres my issue. I found two very nice jewlerys but one is made of white gold and other from sterling steel.

Which one to choose? Meybe she will think I forgot that she doesnt like gold when I buy her white gold.

Help!

I'd go for the one that is white gold. When people say that they don't like gold, they usually mean yellow-gold. Silver and white gold basically look the same. I'd say that white gold is of better quality than sterling steel though and so I'd personally buy/want the white gold jewellry.

I agree with Stephanie. I'm the same way with gold - I don't really like the yellow. White gold, though, is a great choice. If you've found a nice item that's white gold, I'd go with it. I'm sure she'd appreciate it very much.

Also, I've moved this thread to Fashion and Style, since it is about jewelry.

Thanks, will go for white gold.

Another issue there.

Someone help me to choose color?

It says I cant post links unless I post 10 posts.
So I type..

January - Garnet
February - Amethyst
March - aquamarine
April - crystal
may - emerald
june - alexandrite
july - ruby
august - peridot
september - shappire
october - rose zircon
november - topaz
december - blue zircon

What would be better to choose color or just to go for which month shes born in?

picture is at img3.imageshack.us/img3/1403/birthoj.jpg incase someone wants to see.

I'd go with her birthday, unless you know her favourite colour to be something else, in which case, choose that
Also it will be yellow gold she's talking about, so white gold or silver is great. Though white gold you need dipped every so often so it doesn't turn yellow, just a heads up [:
