Pedicures - December 20th 2009, 03:49 AM

So I want to take my boyfriend's mom out with me for a girls day out together for a Christmas present.

I'd like for us to both get a pedicure, but I was wanting some input from people who have had pedicures in the past on the whole process thing.

I personally have never had a pedicure, it's always been one of those things I really wanted to do, but never got a chance. I have a general idea what to expect, but there are some issues I don't know if they'll cause any problems.

My boyfriend's mom has one toe amputated, so she's missing a toe on her foot - she also doesn't have the prettiest toe nails either. She said she'd love to get a pedicure and it doesn't bother her about her issues (She's kind of an 'I don't care what you think' kind of woman, which is great).

I don't have the prettiest toe nails either, which has been one of the reasons I never went either, does it really matter? I'm a little worrisome, but I just wanted to hear what you guys thought.

Thanks

Hey (:

I think you should go for it! It sounds to me like you have put a lot of thought into this present and it's really nice that you want to do that with your boyfriends mum. I don't know about you but his mum sounds really brave and positive; something we can all learn from.

It seems like something you both would enjoy so I think you should just go along and try it; after all, nothing bad can come of it. In my opinion, it doesnt matter what your toe nails look like, you have as much of a right to get them done as anyone else. I am 100% sure that they pedicurist will have seen so many feet that they will almost certainly have seen worse and won't think anything of it!

I hope everything goes well; have fun!
Jen
