What's the best brand of makeup?

I need to get some new makeup. I'm allergic to the stuff I have now. I mainly just wear eye shadow, mascara, and eye liner. What's the best brand to get?

well it would be extremely helpful i knew exactly what you were allergic to (the ingredient) but i typically use maybelline (sp?). i'm always them most happy with it.

I use Maybelline and a bit of Mac. Personally I think Mac makeup is great but it's really quite expensive so I don't usually buy it. Like Michelle said though, you need to find out what it is you are allergic to. If you know that then you will be able to look through the ingredients on makeups before you buy them so that you don't buy things you are allergic to.

I have sensitive skin, and I find that mineral make-up has been best for me. Actually, my cousin has her own line of mineral make-up. But since she doesn't have eyeliners or mascaras, and she doesn't have jet black eyeshadow... I buy Rimmel mascara, usually (though right now I have "GOSH" mascara I got from my ex's mom when she went to England), Bonne Bell pencil eyeliner, and the best liquid eyeliner I've found so far was Maybelline's waterproof one.

I use Benefit and Bourjois. They're both expensive but I'd rather spend on good quality make up that lasts rather than stuff that crumbles quickly I also use some Rimmel stuff ... face powder and some nail polishes. I find them all to be gentle on the skin, I have really sensitive skin so can't use a lot of creams and stuff, but those brands seem to be ok.
If you have sensitive skin I'd also recommend not going for foundations etc. I use a "clear complexion" face powder by Rimmel which works well enough to even out skin tone etc without being too heavy. Good luck with finding something!!

My favourite make-up is MAC, it's usually all that I wear.

MAC is without a doubt the best make up brand for quality but it is expensive (some would argue over-priced.) So if you're just looking for basic make-up then something like maybelline, rimmel or L'oreal would be fine!

I am a makeup artist and hairdresser, so I've tried many brands. The absolute best are Mirabella if you want to do a mineral makeup..which is awesome by the way, and Bobbi Brown if you want a liquid. Both are amazing, but Mirabella is always my first choice. Mineral makeup is the best! It is so quick and easy with the best and most natural coverage.

I don't wear much make-up at all because I break out in reaction to most of it anyway but from what I've tried.. Rimmel eyeliners are the best yet. CoverGirl mascaras are really good. They are really affordable and I find that they go on just as well as some of the more expensive mascaras on the market so, there's a bonus. Of all brands though, M.A.C. wins. It's really expensive though but if you want good quality make-up, it's the way to go. I know that Maybelline has had a Mineral Power(?) line out for a while. I have yet to test that out but mineral make-up is supposed to be good for your skin so that's an option

bare minerals. i have super sensitive skin and if i fall asleep in my eyeshadow and such my eyes puff out. but not when i wear bare minerals.

I honestly think it depends on the person. Certain people, depending on their own taste in makeup and obviously their skin tone and everything, are better suited to different make up brands than others. So I recommend experimenting a bit. Buy a few different brands of makeup at once and see which one you like most. As for me, though, I'm not picky. I don't really wear makeup that often, besides some foundation, and I usually get stuff like L'oreal and Cover Girl.

I usually go for the more expensive ones, those are usually higher quality. Mac is great and Clinique is also good since it's fragrance-free.

I love clinique, but you might want to try soft makeup, maybe mineral make up, organic makeup, or.. less makeup. It could be, about the allergy, that you are addicted to something in the makeup remover or the cleanser you're using, so your skin might be best off if you toned down the chemical content of all the facial products.
